2025 Annual Report

Dear friends of Crowsnest Lake Bible Camp,

The Crow Annual Report - including 2026 camp dates! - is available. It's also (probably) coming to your mailbox.

But that isn't really why I wrote. I wrote because I have too much ice cream.

When the new Dairy Queen opened in the Crowsnest Pass, they ran a special promotion - a card that entitles the bearer to a free Blizzard every week for a year. I have two cards. Two Blizzards. Every week. For a year.

Economically, it's a very appealing offer, but one soon sees the negative externalities. For instance, it makes your pants shrink. It's a lot of ice cream.

Anyway, I'd love it if you came to see me, to eat one (or both!) of my free weekly Blizzards. If you are lactose intolerant, we can pivot to chicken nuggets. If you are both lactose and chicken intolerant, well... that's a bridge we will cross when we come to it.

I'd love to see you, that's the point.

The reason why is simple. You'll see in the Annual Report - we got a lot done this year: projects wrapped up, commitments honoured, and goals achieved. With the To Do list (miraculously?) depleted, we are wondering: what should Crow focus on in 2026? I've got some ideas. But before we race ahead, we want to slow down and ask you – our donors, volunteers, parents, and church partners – to help us discern that together.

So the 2025 Annual Report is not just information; it is an invitation. We would like to meet with you: at your church, in your town, over Zoom if that’s easiest, or here at the camp if you are able to visit. Whether you represent a congregation, send your kids to camp, volunteer in the summer, or support Crow financially, your perspective matters deeply to how we plan.

In those conversations, we hope to:

  • Share what's been accomplished from our current To Do list.

  • Test some early ideas for 2026 and ask, “Does this feel faithful, wise, and useful to you and your community?”

  • Listen carefully to what you need from Crowsnest Lake Bible Camp in the coming year: for your kids, your family, your church, and your community.

If you are willing to meet, please reply to this email with a few times that could work for you, or call the office so we can set something up.

Thank you for walking with us, for supporting this ministry in prayer and finances, and for caring about what Crow becomes in 2026 and beyond.

With gratitude in Christ,

David
